A little about Kanya click here
Kenya (officially the Republic of Kenya, in English: Republic of Kenya, in Swahili: Jamhuri ya Kenya) is a country in East Africa, bordering Ethiopia, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and the Indian Ocean. The country is divided into 47 provinces governed by elected governors. The capital and largest city in Kenya is Nairobi. The country is named after Mount Kenya located in its territory.
The first direct elections for Africans to the "Legislative Council" were held in 1957, as part of the British attempts to orderly transfer power to moderate hands. Despite their expectations for the rise of a moderate candidate, the nationalist from the Kikuyu tribe - Jomo Kenyatta (who was arrested in the Mau Mau rebellion and released from prison in 1959) finally prevailed, and he formed a government shortly before Kenya became an independent state on December 12, 1963. A year later, Commonwealth status was given to Kenya and a republic was established, and Kenyatta became president, and in a short time established a centralized and one-party government system. However, under his rule, Kenya maintained its connection to the West and was one of the most stable countries in Africa.
